The Russell School

Aim High, Have Courage, Be Kind
The 3 Peaks Challenge - please support our fundraising efforts to bring us as close to our goal as possible!

On 30th June, Mrs Pitt, Mr Ryan, Mrs Patel, Mr Williams, Miss Randall, Mrs Southworth, Mrs Dewhurst and Mr Bailey will complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge with the aim of raising additional funds for school.

he Yorkshire Three Peaks route is 24 miles (38.6km), and includes 1585m (5200ft) of ascent.  The challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, usually in this order, and in under 12 hours. These peaks form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
The money raised will be used to fund the following projects:

  • Outdoor running track
  • IT coding scheme
  • Sensory resources for children with SEND and teaching resources for the intervention room

A very big thank you for all of the donations and messages we have received so far – this has really helped to keep our motivation up! We have 7 days left to go until we complete the challenge and have so far raised £1,985 - our target is £5,000!

Please support us by making a donation -
